On June 30, Toyota Boshoku Huaqin (Shanghai) Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd. officially opened its doors. Established as a joint venture between Toyota Boshoku (China) Co., Ltd. and Huaqin Technology Co., Ltd., the company marks the official launch of substantive operations for both parties in intelligent cockpit control products and software, and hits the accelerator on the in-depth integration of automotive interiors and smart electronics.
The grand opening ceremony was attended by Masayoshi Shirayanagi, Representative Director and President of Toyota Boshoku Corporation, alongside his core management team; Qiu Wensheng, Chairman and CEO of Huaqin Technology Co., Ltd.; Cui Guopeng, Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President; and Zhang Wenguo, Executive Vice President and President of the Automotive Electronics Business Group. Government representatives and industrial partners from upstream and downstream sectors also gathered to witness this milestone occasion.
In his address, President Shirayanagi stated: “This joint venture project is the fruit of mutual trust and win-win cooperation between our two sides, as well as a prime model of co-creation that leverages each party’s respective strengths. Adopting a long-term perspective, Toyota Boshoku will maintain continuous investment, deliver greater value to Chinese customers, and grow into an enterprise trusted by society.”
Chairman Qiu Wensheng remarked in his speech: “Partnering with Toyota Boshoku to set up this joint venture represents a major opportunity for Huaqin Technology. Backed by the Group’s strategic layout of the 3+N+3 Smart Product Platform, our automotive electronics business fully integrates Huaqin’s platform-based capabilities and comprehensive technological reserves. We look forward to both sides fully unlocking our respective industrial strengths and steadily advancing the rollout of all the joint venture’s businesses across the domestic market.”

The joint venture will focus on the R&D and manufacturing of intelligent cockpit control products and software, striving to build a new-generation smart mobility space. During the opening ceremony, Wang Jian, General Manager of Toyota Boshoku Huaqin, unveiled the company’s future business roadmap and corporate vision.
